As a music publisher active in sync licensing, Spirit Music Group regularly makes use of lyrics in its day-to-day work. Creative briefs from licensing clients can often be lyric-based—for example, an advertising client may send in a request looking for “songs about a sunny day.” However, lyrics are not always delivered to music publishers.
