The AudioShake API allows **60 requests per second**. Requests that exceed the limit receive a `429 Too Many Requests` response.

## Handling rate limits

- Add exponential backoff to your retry logic
- Batch multiple model targets into a single [Create Task](https://developer.audioshake.ai/api-reference/tasks/create) request instead of making separate calls
- Use [webhooks](https://developer.audioshake.ai/api-reference/tasks/webhooks) instead of polling to reduce unnecessary requests
