Houston Kendrick is a new wave, genre-bending songster who blends rap, R&B, and pop, with powerful prose reflecting on childhood, young love, and the journey of self-discovery. A popular independent artist with over 2.5 million streams on Spotify, Kendrick has been widely hailed for his poetic work that is both visually and sonically arresting As NPR described: “Houston Kendrick has the makings of a star: pop-architectural smarts, pleasing melodies, the acrobatic agility and soft sensuality of an R&B crooner who can also rap." Houston used AudioShake to deconstruct his song “Small Infinity” into stems that he then dropped on Audius for a remix contest. The contest helped Houston reach new listeners and engage existing fans in a creative conversation and re-imagination of his work.
